It is with a mix of gratitude and heartfelt emotion that we announce the permanent closure of Butch’s Barbecue, effective 7/22/26 at 9 pm.

Since opening our doors in 2001, we have been honored to serve the Morganton community with delicious pulled pork, chicken, homemade southern sides, and desserts. Your support, laughter, and shared moments have made our journey unforgettable, and we are so grateful for every customer who has come through our doors. It has been our pleasure to serve you for the past 25 years. 

This decision was not made lightly, in part due to the many relationships we have built over the years. The support shown by the people of Morganton as well as the surrounding counties has been truly remarkable. Regarding our employees, we are committed to taking care of our team throughout this transition by providing other job opportunities.

We extend our deepest thanks to our loyal guests, dedicated staff, and community partners who have been part of our story.
